ATTENTION
Some of the pictures and stories shown on the following pages may be disturbing. In many of these cases, the stories are tragic. People have been seriously injured and in some instances, killed. Those involved frequently have suffered very significant, sometimes permanent injuries. The patients, their families, and their friends have all suffered
as a result of these events.
We often receive calls from patients or their families asking us about what happened during an incident. The following photos and stories are provided, similar to a newspaper account, for educational and informational purposes. It is our hope that through education, tragic incidents such as these can be prevented.
Every BVFD member that responded to the calls send their thoughts and condolences
to everyone affected by the incidents.

Mutual to Romney
On Wednesday March 23rd 2011 at 1721 hours Mineral County Communications alerted The Burlington Volunteer Fire Company on box 1-1 for the mutual assist to the Romney Volunteer's for the commercial automatic fire alarm at the Romney Elementary School in Hampshire County. Engine Tanker 44 responded with 3 personnel.

Another Rescue Local 44-4
On Monday March 21st 2011 Mineral County Communications alerted The Burlington Volunteer Fire Company on Recue Local 44-4 for the motor vehicle accident on Shirley's Lane. Ambulance 44-71, and Utility 44 both responded. Once on the scene crews found a single vehicle that had gone over the embankment with no injuries. Ambulance 44-71 handled one signed patient refusal.

Rescue Local 44-4
On Wednesday March 16th 2011 Mineral County Communications alerted The Burlington Volunteer Fire Company on Recue Local 44-4 for the motor vehicle accident on Double Cribs Road. Rescue Engine 44, Ambulance 44-70, and Ambulance 44-71 all responded. Once on the scene crews found a single vehicle that had gone over the embankment with injuries.

Another Run to Hampshire
On Sunday March 13th 2011 at 1925 hours Mineral County Communications alerted The Burlington Volunteer Fire Company on Box 1-44 for the mutual assist to Romney Company 1 on the mulch pile fire. Tanker 44 responded. Once enroute Communications advised of a 50x50 area involved with command 1 returning Tanker 44 to service.

Motor Vehicle Accident
On Wednesday March 9th 2011 at 1430 hours Mineral County Communications alerted The Burlington Volunteer Fire Company for Resscue Local 44-4 a single vehicle accident on Route 50 in the area of the three lanes. Rescue Engine 44, Utility 44, and Ambulance 44-71 all responded. Once arriving on the scene crews found a single vehile in the ditch with no patient located.

Motor Vehicle Accident
On Sunday Februaury 27th 2011 at 1600 hours Mineral County Communications alerted The Burlington Volunteer Fire Company for the utility hazard at Larenim Park. Engine Tanker 44, Brush 44, Tanker 44 all responded. Once arriving on the scene crews found a brush fire which was the result of wires down and arcing.

On Wednesday Februaury 23rd 2011 at 1317 hours Mineral County Communications alerted The Burlington Volunteer Fire Company for the single vehicle accident on Beaver Run Road. Rescue Engine 44 responded with 2 personel.

44 Runs to Hampshire
On Saturday Februaury 19th 2011 at 1230 hours Mineral County Communications alerted The Burlington Volunteer Fire Company for the mutual assist to Romney Company 1 for the residential structure fire at 420 West Gravel Lane. Rescue Engine 44, and Tanker 44 both responded. Once arriving on the scene crews found the fire in floor.

Brush Fire with Exposure
On Wednesday Februaury 16th 2011 at 1232 hours Mineral County Communications alerted The Burlington Volunteer Fire Company for the brush fire on Parrill Hollow Road. Brush 44, Tanker 44, and Ambulance 44-70 all responded. Once arriving on the scene crews found approximately 1 1/2 acres involved endangering a structure.

On Wednesday Februaury 9th 2011 at 1140 hours Mineral County Communications alerted The Burlington Volunteer Fire Company for the smoke investigation on Mud Run Road. Rescue Engine 44, Mini Pumper 44, Tanker 44, and Ambulance 44-71 all responded.
